Providing the world’s safest environment for guests to examine their life challenges; develop
more success-oriented life management skills; and receive long-term support.

Facilitating Lifelong Learning

Facilitating cognitive and affective guest learning—knowledge, skills, and values—and to
promote the use of that knowledge in the guest’s home life and work place.

Integrating Technology

Bridging the Gap

Providing guests with a practical, systematic, evidence-based, and lifelong personal
development method that bridges the gap between traditional psychotherapy which
emphasizes examining the past and action-oriented life coaching.

Using technology to create effective modes and means of instruction that expand access to
private life coaches and learning resources and that enhance collaboration and
communication for improved guest learning.

Continued Development

Developing competence in communication, stages of change, transformative learning, critical
reflection, and collaboration to enhance guests’ opportunities for personal and professional
success.

Funding the Vision

Being organized as a for-profit learning center in order to generate the financial resources
necessary to support Shalom’s mission and vision.

Assessing guest learning and progress and use assessment data to improve the learning
system, curriculum, instruction, and learning resources.
